Our Mission
Strengthen Families
Hope Fostered supports the foster care system by strengthening families, activating churches, and empowering communities!
How We Help Foster Strong Families
Strong families give kids safety and security. We desire every family to have the resources they need to parent with calm strength and kindness. For that reason, we offer parent mentoring/coaching to any family that would like to learn more about how to be a calm, structured, nurturing parent. We also host parent support groups in the Wichita, KS area.
Empower Communities
We work closely with non-profit organizations to ensure programs are accessible to those who need them, offer TBRI trainings to help them become trauma-informed, and collaborate together to help creatively solve the problems faced by the foster care and adoptive systems.
Activate Churches
Does your church have a heart for the youth of your community? Would you like to learn the unique problems in your area and how your church can help meet them? We can help walk your church through a needs assessment to help make your church an effective and practical solution for what is needed most in your community.
The average children’s or youth ministry worker does not have the skills to deal with disruptive and concerning behaviors. But if any place should be safe for a child who has dealt with trauma, they absolutely should be safe and welcomed in our churches. We can train your volunteers, giving them the knowledge and skills they need to connect with every child-no matter their background.
We partner with For the Children to help churches launch Royal Family Kids Camps-a week-long camp experience for children who have experienced the trauma of the foster care system. This dynamicministry can empower your church to have a passion for children and can make a lasting, life-changing difference in the hearts of the children your camp serves.
Science & Faith Behind Our Work
Our work is guided by both science and faith.
We use evidence-based practices to support the social, emotional, and educational needs of children, and we also believe in the value of faith-based principles, such as compassion and empathy, in supporting the well-being of children and families in the foster care system.
Why We Do What We Do
Our goal at Hope Fostered is simple: to help children in the foster care system succeed.
We believe that every child deserves to feel loved and supported, and that they have the potential to lead fulfilling lives, regardless of their circumstances.
